Hi, my name is Paul, Technical Project Manager here at BlastOne.
Today we’re going to be going over the MONTIPOWER® Bristle Blaster.
The Bristle Blaster comes in three variations: battery power, electric (with a cord), and pneumatic.
For the Bristle Blaster, we have a few applications. Typically, you see it on inspection work, sensitive areas, or even on bridges where you need to remove coating from nuts and bolts and tight-to-reach spaces.
Typically with a MONTIPOWER® Bristle Blaster, you’re going to get, on average, 12 to 14 square feet per hour. So, it’s recommended that these are used for small jobs.
When handling the Bristle Blaster, always make sure you have the required PPE, including gloves, ear protection, and eye protection. The actual bristles use a launch bar, and sometimes these bristles can come out.
For your battery-powered Bristle Blaster, you’re typically going to get 20 to 25 minutes of use to clean your surface. For your pneumatic Bristle Blaster, you’ll run about 75 to 90 psi, and regulators are typically supplied within the case or within the assembly of the Bristle Blaster.
A few troubleshooting steps to keep in mind when using the MONTIPOWER® Bristle Blaster:
– There is a rubber belt intertwined inside the assembly. If the head is not rotating correctly, it’s likely that the belt is broken. BlastOne can provide a replacement belt. To check, disassemble the bolts in the front and inspect the belt.
– Other issues may include a dead battery or a short in the wire.
– The metal prongs inside may wear over time and need replacement.
