Hi, I’m Todd from BlastOne.
Today I’m going to take you through the RPB Radex Filters and how to change them and what they come with.
All the Radexes come with the aluminum cast housing for extra durability. There are three different setups. It normally comes with the two outlet on the top. We also offer the upgrade kits to the Six Outlet Regular Fitting and the Six Outlet RZ Fitting.
Every Radex has a standard Chicago coupling for easy connection to most compressors. You have the option of having it mounted on the bottom or you can also mount it to the side with a wall mount for easier access.
Each Radex has a six-part particulate filter inside with activated charcoal for moisture, oil, odors, and other contaminants to clean out the breathing air. That filter will need to be changed every 90 days or 400 hours of use, whichever comes first.
To get to the filter, there are four bolts on the top. Remove the lock nuts from the bottom, pull up on the top of the housing, and the black filter will be sitting right there. Peel it out to change it.
Ensure that the O-ring is still in good shape, not too flat, and able to create a nice seal so no air can escape. Slide the new filter back in, line up the holes, set the top housing case back down, and secure it with the locking nuts on the bottom.
