Bull Hose Boss® Claw Bolt Clamp

Dixon Boss® Ground Joint couplings for MegaFlow Bull air hose. require special claw clamps.  These clamps are constructed of plated steel with 2 or more gripping fingers (claws). Clamp sizes vary depending on the hose being used, and are sized according to the ID and  the OD of the hose.  Claw clamp bolts must be tightened to the manufacturer's torque specifications. Dixon clamps are designed to bend when tightened and are for single use only. Bolt torque must be checked and retightened regularly, due to 'cold flow/rubber creep' phenomenon found in all rubber hoses. Always use whip checks with these.

Torque specifications for common Dixon Claw Bolt clamps are as follows.  See attached chart for other sizes:

• FMBBU22 / FMBB22 1-1/2" Bolt clamp - 40 ft. lbs.
• FMBBU29 2" Bolt clamp - 60 ft. lbs.
• FMBBU35 3" Bolt clamp - 150 ft. lbs.
