Thickness standards are used to verify the accuracy and operation of coating thickness gauges. As a component of ISO 9000 or in-house quality control procedures, they are a practical alternative to sending instruments to DeFelsko for calibration. DeFelsko offers various solutions for this process and this group of products is their premium version comprised of 4 Certified Coated Metal Plates (one being a zero plate). Select the Standard set that most closely matches the measuring range of your probe. See selection chart under the Description tab. -

Each DeFelsko instrument family is factory calibrated and is designed to be ready-to-use upon arrival. Best practice and specifications determine when instruments should have their calibrations rechecked. For the PosiTector UTG probes, DeFelsko offers five different variations of stainless steel Step Blocks that are factory certified for checking their calibration, as follows:
- B1. Standard range Imperial. Five steps (100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 mils).
- B1M. Standard range Metric. Five Steps (2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, and 12.5 mm).
- B2. High range Imperial. Eight steps (1", 1.5", 2", 2.5", 3", 3.5", 4", and 4.5").
- B2M. High range Metric. Eight steps (25, 37.5, 50, 62.5, 75, 87.5, 100, and 112.5 mm).

BlastOne offers all accessories and replacement parts for DeFelsko testing instruments. The PosiTector CMM IS concrete moisture meter platform is expandable, and larger concrete areas can be tested simultaneously in accord with ASTM F2170 standards by increasing the number of in-situ probes. Very easy to use - just affix the replica tape to the holder, and ensure that the compressible foam is located over the hole in the holder. The PosiTector RTR family of instruments is DeFelsko's state-of-the-art solution for surface profile measurement and more. Two different probe models are available and selected features are listed below:
- Familiar. Based on the award-winning PosiTector instrument body platform, the RTR probes are easy to master and use.
- Capable. State-of-the-art technology with 2 models as follows:
- PosiTector RTR H. This 2D version measures surface profile using Testex tape just like a spring micrometer, but with the following enhancements:
- Automatically compensates for the thickness of the Testex film backing.
- Using conventional Testex Coarse or X-Coarse tape, the RTR H calculates linearized measurements automatically, without the complicated averaging process required by analog spring micrometers.
- Stores readings which can be uploaded to PosiSoft, Mac, and smartphone software for professional reporting. Of course, you can keep the physical replica tape as well.
- Ready-to-measure. No calibration adjustment required for most applications.
- PosiTector RTR 3D. This 2D / 3D version offers the same features as the RTR H above, but with these extra features:
- Creates a 3D image of the profile and calculates Peak Density, Peak Count and more - a total of 14 common 2D and 3D surface parameters.
- When paired with the Advanced body, the RTR 3D can download high-res .SDF files for further analysis.
