BACKGROUND
A customer from South Carolina contacted BlastOne seeking a solution to an urgent, difficult blasting challenge.
The US Military commissioned the client to blast one of their oil storage tanks. However, the project deadline was only two weeks.
OBJECTIVE
Previous work cleaning these tanks had always taken three weeks of solid blasting. Plus he always used a minimum of 10 truckloads of abrasive. The customer ordered new high-performance blasting equipment from BlastOne and 10 truckloads of GemBlast Abrasive.
RESULTS
BlastOne sent an application engineer to ensure maximum results from GemBlast. Additionally, we wanted to ensure this important project started without any hiccups. The contactor called BlastOne just 13 days later to say the project was finished 10% ahead of the US military’s demanding schedule.

CONCLUSION
Overall, the project cost 25% less than what our client budgeted. There was five spare truckloads of GemBlast abrasive that he didn’t use. BlastOne told him to simply send it back and the unused portion would be deducted from his bill.
