In January 2020, we collaborated with BP, one of the world’s leading oil and gas companies, to tackle a project at their Bulwer Island facility in Queensland, Australia. The task was to remove a 15-20 mils epoxy coating from a 180 ft diameter diesel storage tank floor. The key objectives were enhancing productivity, ensuring safety, and decreasing labor requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

For this operation, we proposed the use of VertiDrive. This advanced abrasive blasting robot, armed with 2 #8 Ultra Tuff nozzles and supported by an 8-ton bulk pot, was perfectly suited for this challenging project. Utilizing GMA PremiumBlast garnet as the abrasive at 92 psi, the VertiDrive was geared to deliver optimum results.
