MontiPower® Bristle Blaster System

The Bristle Blaster® is a portable surface preparation tool that combines wire wheels with an ingenious accelerator bar*, to speed production. Benefits include the following:

Excellent for spot work. Small projects such as rework, weld cleaning, etc., are faster due to no abrasive cleanup needed.
Highly portable. Light weight and compact makes usage and storage a breeze.
Simple to use. No need to suit up to use it.
Quick setup. Plug in and go!
Safe for most surfaces. Unlike a grinder, the Bristle Blaster® creates a surface profile without removing metal.

While the production speed isn’t as high as traditional abrasive blasting, the benefits of no mess and quick setup/teardown make this a very efficient tool for spot work and repairs. It is up to 10x faster than using a hand wire brush. The Bristle Blaster® tools are available in 3 power configurations:

Electric. Requires 910 watts at 120v.
Pneumatic. Uses standard shop-air line. Requires less than 20 CFM at 75 or 90PSI.
Cordless. Rechargeable battery power offers the ultimate in portability.

There are 3 orientation configurations for the wheels, as follows:

Standard wheel (general purpose)
Double wheel (faster production for larger surfaces). Note – available in electric only.
Axial (right angle) wheel (great for reaching inside corners or other areas difficult to reach with the standard wheel). Note – available in pneumatic only.

Additional notes:

These units create a surface profile between 2.5 and 3.5 mils.
Wire wheels are also known as belts. BlastOne stocks all carbon steel and stainless Bristle Blaster® replacement belts.
The standard pneumatic kit includes a dust shroud for attachment to a vacuum cleaner, for even faster clean up.

Tite-Space Angle Nozzles

Tite-Space nozzles are angle nozzles, designed for use in areas that are especially difficult to access, and feature:

3/8″ NPT Thread in either Male or Female configuration
Male version has brass threads and requires a minimum opening clearance of 1″. This version is 1-7/8″ long.
Female version has steel threads and requires a minimum opening clearance of only ¾”. This version is 3-1/8″ long.
These nozzles are often used in conjunction with our Tite Space Invader Blasting Kit, available here
Angle options include:
- 45° & 60° forward blast
- 90° right angle blast
- 135° reverse blast
Some options available in double, triple or quad orifices in addition to single.
- Note: Using nozzles with multiple orifices will multiply the compressed air CFM requirement accordingly.
Stock version uses tungsten carbide lining.

Note: Due to the angled blast stream, these nozzles will wear more quickly than traditional versions. For larger projects, we offer long-life Roctec nozzle linings by special order, with a minimum order quantity of 5. Contact us for further details.

Klingspor Titan Flap Discs

Klingspor is a major manufacturer of abrasive products for hand tools. Their SMT flap discs (aka mop discs) are engineered for intensive grinding tasks and are of industrial quality.

Klingspor Abrasive Fiber Discs

Klingspor is a major manufacturer of abrasive products for hand tools. Their fiber discs are engineered for fast stock removal in metal grinding applications and are of industrial quality.

This series from Klingspor is designed for use with a standard nut-mount disc backing pad. These are not intended for use on a quick-lock backing pad.

Klingspor Power Wheels Surface Conditioning Discs

Klingspor is a major manufacturer of abrasive products for hand tools. These Powerwheels are closely akin to flap discs, but with a non-woven structure which virtually eliminates clogging.

Also known as ‘clean and strip’ discs, they are excellent for cleaning surfaces, removing heat discoloration with the HD version being excellent at heavier duty applications requiring more aggression.

Two versions as follows:

NCD 200. Impregnated with silicon carbide for general purpose cleaning including removal of rust, mill scale, and paint.
NCD 200HD. Impregnated with ceramic abrasive, this wheel will last the longest in demanding applications.

DeFelsko® PosiTector® UTG Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

The PosiTector UTG – DeFelsko’s solution for measurement of wall thicknesses of pipes, tanks, and more where access is limited to one side. Here are some highlights of the highly capable DeFelsko ultrasonic thickness gage probe family:

Familiar. The UTG family of probes are interchangeable with the tried-and-true DeFelsko gage body platform.
Capable. Six different probe versions are available, depending on the requirements of the application. The first four are standard corrosion single-echo probes designed for applications where the surface is unpainted (or has the paint removed.)
- PRBUTGC: Standard frequency 5mz transducer. Cabled.
- PRBUTGCX: Xtreme version of above with a braided stainless cable with strain relief for demanding use.
- PRBUTGCA: Same as above, except integral non-cabled design. This version is ideal for one-handed use.
- PRBUTGCLF. Low-frequency 2.25mz transducer for attenuative materials like cast iron. Standard cable.
The following two models are both cabled, and can be used on either painted or non-painted substrates.
- PRBUTGM: 5mz transducer with highly versatile single and multi-echo modes. Single mode offers greater (up to 5 inches thick) measurement range, but should be used where paint has been removed. Multi-echo mode does not require the paint to be removed and can measure walls up to 2.5 inches thick. This version has a durable alumina wear face and is ideal for use on rough or blasted surfaces.
- PRBUTGP: 15mz transducer offers high precision when measuring thin materials (up to .475 inch thick steel or up to .175 inch thick plastic). It has automatic single / multi echo mode switching for use on painted or unpainted surfaces. This probe can be used to measure thicknesses of plastic bottles, aircraft windows, thin-wall pipe, and much more.
Configurable. Any of the six probes can be configured in the following packages:
- Probe only. Use with your existing PosiTector gauge.
- Standard PosiTector package with choice of probe.
- Advanced PosiTector package with choice of probe.
- Note: All PosiTector UTG packages come with case, ultrasonic gel, calibration certificate, and more.

The GMA PrecisionBlast 120 Mesh Garnet Abrasive (SKU: P-GA120), is a MilSpec Approved abrasive ideal for delicate surface preparation.
