Electric Deadman Systems are Faster and thus Safer

Why wouldn’t a jobsite desire a 5x faster deadman response?

A typical experience blasters face when running long hose lengths, is that their pneumatic deadman system takes much longer to activate.

This is due to the time it takes for the signal to travel back and forth between the pot and the handle.  The longer the hose – the longer the signal must travel – and thus, a greater delay in activation.  Minimizing the delay is critical for jobsite safety.

Electric Deadman Systems are recommended when control lines exceed 100ft (30m) in length.  Using the electric deadman will provide near instantaneous control and activation.

An electric deadman can deliver a 5x faster response!

The quality of the valves on the blast pot can make the biggest difference in response time. So remember to check your blast pot valves before investing in an electric deadman system.
