Blastox® is a patented formula designed by TDJ to be mixed with Coal or Copper Slag to be used in Lead Abatement Projects
Allows a One Step process, the formula is mixed with the abrasive and when collected it stabilizes heavy metals to render them as a non-hazardous waste.
Passes TCLP, MEP, SPLP and Fresh Water Leach Tests.
Stabilizes heavy metals like lead paint by ph adjustment, chemical reactions and encapsulation.
Sold by the pallet (pallet minimum)

Blastox® is mixed with Coal or Copper Slag to be used in Lead Abatement Projects. In this One Step process, the Blastox formula is mixed with the abrasive and when collected it stabilizes heavy metals to render them as a non-hazardous waste. Using Blastox does not mean the lead goes away, the applicable projects will still need to be treated as a lead job and worker protection considered for. Blastox simply masks the lead in the waste to save having to dispose of the abrasive as a hazardous waste. 15% Blastox mixture with slag is used in most steel blasting applications, 20% is required when the estimated abrasive usage will be less then 6lbs / ft2.
